Xenoverse 2 Game Review

Xenoverse 2

Xenoverse 2 is a 3D RPGMMO Fighting game (Or at least I think, dragon ball games are very confusing). This game follows the story of Dragon Ball Z but it has some changes. The graphics of Xenoverse 2 are good, and the models are not too bad too, but some gamers might be annoyed by this.

As I already said, the story of Xenoverse 2 follows the story of Dragon Ball Z, but with some changes. The big changes are Mira and Towa, in Xenoverse 2, you play as a Time Patrol agent. The Time Patrol are a bunch of warriors from every race. What the time patrol does is fix problems in time, and in Xenoverse 2 the Time Patrol is fixing problems caused by Towa and Mira. Towa, the formidable scientist. And Mira, the strong fighter.

When you start Xenoverse 2 you need to choose a race, the races you can choose from are: Sayian, Earthling, Namekian, Frieza Race, and Majin. You can choose between male and female in the Human, Saiyan, and Majin races. However, since gender is not a thing for Namekians and Frieza Race, you cannot choose between male and female in these races. Each race has different stats, and there are different stats between male and female too.

This game is very easy up until The Legendary Super Saiyan vs Evil Emperor Frieza fight, this fight is very frustrating. It is not the hardest fight in Xenoverse 2, but up until this fight you could close your eyes and mash the attack button and win all the fights, and it was a giant difficulty rise, some people say it is even the biggest!

There are also Parallel Quests, which I will refer to as PQs. PQs are non-canon missions that exist for fun and to level up. You can play PQs alone, with your friends, or with random strangers! You can also battle people, be it bots, friends, or again, random strangers!

Playing this game was very fun and I loved fighting all the enemies from Dragon Ball Z, but with all these twists in history. But I still think this game could’ve been better by giving us better models and making the difficulty rise much more balanced between fights.

Xenoverse 2 has some DLCs, that give you more characters to play in PQs and Battles, and give you more lore. The problem with those DLCs is that they can be really OP and in battles, they are basically instant wins.

Overall, I think Xenoverse 2 is a great game, and I encourage everyone to play it, whether you like fighting games or not. If you are a fan of Dragon Ball and its story, you will love this game. And if you are just looking for a fun game to play you will love Xenoverse 2!
